The award winning early music ensemble Voices of Music, led by Hanneke van Proosdij and David Tayler, makes its New York City debut in collaboration with Gotham Early Music Scene. Highlights of the program include Handel and Vivaldi arias from the operas Agrippina, Bajazet and Rodelinda with internationally renowned countertenor Christopher Lowrey. Violinist Augusta McKay Lodge will perform Vivaldi’s iconic Grosso Mogul concerto, with the original cadenzas. Elizabeth Blumenstock and Baroque oboist David Dickey will perform Vivaldi’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe in B-flat Major. Shelby Yamin, in her Voices of Music debut, will be featured in a rarely performed violin concerto by Maddalena Lombardini. Violinists Elizabeth Blumenstock and Kati Kyme will join forces to perform the Concerto Grosso in D Major from Arcangelo Corelli’s influential Opus 6.
